need help setting up DSL

I have 4 adapters that split the phoneline into two lines (one that says DSL and one that says phone) and then one adapter that says DSL Filter.

I know to split up all my house lines using the splitter.

Does the DSL filter go before the two way splitter or after? I put the splitter first and then I used the DSL filter. On my DSL modem (Siemen's Speedster 4100), the DSL line is blinking red and green; my internet light is not on for the modem..

any advice?

Did you get these as a pack, or when you subscribed to a DSL service? Can you find any picture(s) of these online?

Generally, the adapters that have one jack that says "DSL" and one that says "Phone", those are filters, and they are all you need most of the time. Just plug the phone into the phone jack on the adapter, and plug the DSL modem into the "DSL" jack.

I'm not 100% sure what the actual devices are that you're describing; I'm only guessing by what I've experienced in working with DSL.

what do the filters do?

i have a Siemen's 4100 modem.

The DSL light is now solid green, but internet light and activity lights doesn't light up.

They are all DSL filters. Z-blockers are your splitter type filters. The other one is a wall mount filter. Install a filter on every phone jack that is IN USE.

DSL light means you have sync(signal). Internet only lights up once you have registered and configured the Speedstream 4100 with your PPPoE userid/password. Modem's ip is 192.168.0.1, should be a sticker denoting that as well.

what do the filters do?
Their job 😉
