Need help setting up Digital cable.........

So, my dad has finally decided to upgrade the house to Digital cable (He bought himself a 42" Sharp 1080P). I know how to set up one digital connection, it's not rocket science, but I need to wire 4 other rooms, since all my siblings already have LCD screens. I know that you need a DVR for one connection, so I was wondering my options to split the line.

so, here are my questions:

How would I split the line and do I need a DVR unit for each room? Also, building a HTPC wouldn't be out of the picture, since I already have half a computer ready.

P.S. also, I'm rewiring the house with new RG cable, since this house has the old style cable. I'm going with pressure crimps, and a 7 to 1 splitter if I get the go ahead to possibly use one dvr. Will I need an amp for that?

EDIT: I use the Comcast DVR unit. the motorolla one. Not too fond of it.

You would need a digital tuner in each room to use digital cable. Otherwise you'll only be able to get regular analog cable. If you split the line from the DVR, all the TVs would display the same channel.

EDIT: You don't need a dvr in each room, but you would need at least a digtal tuner.

Use RG6

Use a high quality/high bandwidth splitter. All set.

As mentioned you don't need a DVR or digital box in any of the other rooms, you can just use a regular TV tuner for the analog channels you receive today.
