Need help Setting Up A Home Network

I have 4 PCs (2 on the first floor and 2 on the second) and one laptop and am looking for the best solution to connect all of them together. Currently only one has a cable internet connection (ATT@home). Three of them have NICs (a Dlink, Linksys, and Netgear cards) and the laptop has a modem. We are doing major remodeling of our house so it would not be hard to route cables througth the walls if necessary.
 
Hey, if all the walls are being ripped off, you might as well go all the way and set up network jacks in every room. Then have a network closet with all the connections feeding into a switch. 🙂 It's definitely a bit more complex than the ordinary "how do i share internet access" thread. But definitely worth it if you can plug into the network anywhere, just like a dorm!! 🙂
