I'm setting up a command line client of S@H and I'm getting the following message when it tries to connect to my proxy server:

recv fd=108 n=0, errno=2
Unexpected end of data from server
Blah..blah.. see FAQ at S@H web page

It doesn't happen on the other clients, but this PC has ran S@H in the past. (Probably deleted by a end user.. not sure)

This service is installed in a new directory without any old type of old seti files.

Has anyone else seen this?

It's now happening on a second PC. :|

I know it isn't the client, because I can grab a WU by running the cmd line by itself. I only get the error if I use the serivce install downloaded from ISoS's web site. (SetiDr)

Errrrr.....

Humm... Could be..??? ;)

Now I even found it only happens when I have Proxy settings enabled in the SetiDr program. If I pull a wu directly from Berkeley, no problems, but not from the proxy server.

Do the basic LAN connection tests, ping, etc.

Double check the IP address you are using for the SETIQ proxy is the correct one used SETIDRIVER. Or try using the machine name instead of the IP address, or vica versa.

Check the port # of the SETIDRVR versus the SETIQ proxy port # (check for mistyped #s, happens to me all the time)

I'm assuming you are using the SETI CLI version plus SETIDRIVER?

If you can get to Berkeley and not your SETIQ, then there is some type of communication problem between the PCs and the SETIQ proxy.

Fat fingers when entering the subnet mask in the SETIQ server settings.

Thanks Ray!
