Need help - Server name resolution

Please help me out guys, I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to networking. I recently built a box from old parts and put WHS on it. However, when I tried to install the Connector app on the client PCs (which all run Win XP), it kept failing. I tried NSLOOKUP on the server name but got a "non-existent domain" error and PING failed also. When I run IPCONFIG /ALL on the client PCs, it shows that there is a DNS Suffix. Any pointer to what I should check?
