Need help selecting new vid for anticipated digital LCD monitor.

I hope to get the new Samsung 172T 17" digital LCD monitor when it becomes available here in the states.

But I don't have a clue about which video card to get. I don't think the questions I asked when building my current system apply to a digital LCD monitor.

If it's just for general use and the occasional game-playing I'd look no further than the ATI Radeon 9000. It's under a hundred bucks, plays games better than any Radeon 7500 and sometimes the 8500LE, is DX8.1 compliant, is under a hundred bucks , and most variants have one VGA and one DVI connector for guaranteed dual-monitor output.
Even makes RealVideo look better.
