Need help selecting DDR memory

I am in the process of upgrading my machine (for photo editing). Picked up an Asus A8N-E motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice. I would like to pick up a couple of 1GB sticks for a total of 2GB. I know I can always get four 512MB sticks however I would like to leave the other two memory slots open for future upgrade. I would like to purchase two 1GB DDR memory sticks for this motherboard which will not only overclock well but also known for being stable. Please help 😕
 
count me in on this because Im probably going to order the same combo.

I've heard the crucial xms 1gb sticks are stable but don't really oc well.
