Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a chaintech znf3-250 motherboard. That motherboard seemed great and came with ALOT of stuff, but the poor thing was DOA. I don't feel like getting it replaced by the company because their customer service really isn't the best i've seen. I'd rather just RMA it back to get a refund and buy another one while i'm waiting for the refund. Anywho that motherboard is pretty much out of production now which is why I had to order from that site. I was left with a few choices:

Chaintech VNF3-250
Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR
DFI Lanparty UT NF3

I was even offered by a friend from out of state his old gigabye k8ns for free of charge but that motherboard has terrible memory problems.

These motherboards were listed from lowest priced to highest. Now from my understanding all three of these boards are overclockable. Chaintech and DFI being the most technical, and soltek being able to only oc with a voltage of 1.55.. My current situation is I got a athlon 64 3400+ clawhammer and I do plan on possibly overclocking it just a bit because I understand that cpu isn't a very good oc'er, so maybe push a couple of hundred mhz off the FSB. I feel alittle uncomfortable about purchasing any of the motherboards listed that's why I would like some input. Basically the chaintech because of only 2 usb headers, soltek because of only 2 dimm slots for ram plus no firewire (not that I use it anyways but what if), and dfi mainly because of the price. I have heard positive things about all three but it's hard for me to make a decision.

Thanks

I had great succes with my Soltek and PCI firewire card are cheap if you ever need one. Soltek support is great. As for OC, I did try it a bit on mine and it worked good. But as you said the 3400+ might not overclock well.. The S754 is not dual channel, so if you get 1 gigs now, you can add another later when you need it .. if ever you need.

It is the motherboard I use and recommend for all of my S754 built and never been dissapointed yet.

Dont know about the other, so I cannot comment on them.
