I'm in desperate need of a monitor upgrade. Right now I'm using a Samsung SyncMaster 955DF as my main monitor and a Samsun SyncMaster 700b Plus as my second monitor. The 19" 955DF has *terribe* color so I'm looking for something new.

My first choice seems to be the Dell 2405 because its HUGE and could basically replace BOTH of my monitors. I'd be using the monitor primarily for games (85% of my time) and sometimes for video/photo editting (15%).

My main concern is that the native resolution on this monitor is 1900x1200. My video card (6800GT) can do this fine, but if I have to run ALL of my games at this resolution I will eventually get HORRIBLE framerates. Does this mean I shouldn't get any LCDs? Frown

I'm open for suggestions but I'm mostly interested in Dell stuff because I get a 66% discount from my work (its a 3-year computer purchase program for those curious)

Thanks for any advice!!

Its a great gaming monitor. The problem with big monitors that are going to be used for gaming is that you need to constantly upgrade your card (or sacrifice IQ settings) to have the resolution at 1900x1200, you can play at lower resolutions but LCDs don't display their non native res so well but most of the time 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 will still look good on the Dell 2405FPW and your 6800GT is perfect for those resolutions.
