Hey All,

One of my clients got a deal on Gateway E-4000 slim-line pcs and now requires dual monitor cards for data entry workers. So far, I've placed orders for supposedly low-profile dual cards only to receive either full height or singles with VGA\TV output. Does anyone have any recommendations? I tried both Jaton and PNY without success and Gateway sales was worthless. I would prefer AGP but PCI would suffice. I posted this topic in video but thought someone might have some input in this specialy forum. Any help would be appreciated

Many Thanks,

Jeff

Their descriptions tell you if the card is low profile or not. Or, you could do what I did. I called them and told 'em that I needed thirty low-profile PCI Video cards. Newegg rules.

The ATI 9200SE by PowerColor has Analogue and DVI and should support both at the same time. Check first.

I have this card in a half height mATX box and it rocks. I only use the TV out tho (Which it also has!!) as this is going to be my MCE machine ;)

Well, I checked with Newegg who said they couldn't help so I went looking at some of your suggestions on the 9200SE's. I looked at a rebranded compusa card which appeared to be a Powercolor. It would work except they only included one (1) low-profile bracket which means that you couldn't mount the second vga out connector. I have to ask why? Why not include a second bracket so that you could use the darn features that you purchased. Checked the docs and website, no method for ordering extra brackets and I'm not going to make 40 of these things...... Grrrrr

I found a nifty review of the powercolor card as well as some pictures of the box's contents......

Well this should be easy.

The VGA out is on a ribbon cable, so you can pop it thru a bracket gap, or drill a hole for the cable in a bracket.

My Half Height case came with a bracket with a hole in it, which the VGA connect fits into so snugly you would think it was made for it! Lucky me!

Hope that helps.
