Need help, RH 7.1, changing formats of established/mounted partitions.

Want to change one of the partitions from linux to fat, there is nothing on the partition, how do I go about doing this? I don't want to reformat or anything like that.
 
This really should be in OS instead of GH but...

If there is nothing on the partition why don't you want to format? You're gonna have to. Actually you're gonna need to use linux's fdisk utility to change the partition type to vfat from whatever type of linux partition that you have it set as, then you'll need to use format under dos for it.
