Sorry for the repost, posted in Notebook section few days back - no replies - so bringing it to ATOTers now..
Currently I have a Compaq 1800T laptop I sometimes use it to surf internet and MS Office. Its primarily used to watch Videos(AVIs)/DVDs. It has excellent speakers sounds just awesome. Its starting to have problems with its screen. Sometimes it starts flickering and making a sound like electric sparks and slowly the picture fades away. When I close and open the lid/screen the picture shows up again. I love this vintage and very sad about its problem 🙁
Anyways... I am thinking about getting a new 17 inch one for the same purpose. I had a dell 1.5 years back but sold it to a friend bcoz its sound simply sucked rear end big time. Anybody has any idea about which makes/models have the best sound/inbuilt speakers. My budget is not more than 1500. I want to stay within 1000 as I dont need a video card but 1500 is max
