Well, I finally got everything off. According to the manual, when I pull out the master clutch cylinder, the whole piece is suppose to come out. But the problem I'm having now is, there's this pole sticking out that won't come out and I'm wondering how the other end of it is suppose to come out since the whole in the middle is small. Here's a picture, let me know what I'm suppose to do cause I'm pretty stumped.

Pic 1

See those three rods sticking out? How am I suppose to get that out? The two threaded rods on each side, I need to get those out so I can put in the new master clutch cylinder because there are two threaded rods already on the clutch cylinder.

Odd........what you pictured in your pic 1 looks eerily like a brake vacuum booster for your brake system's master cylinder. I honestly didn't know clutch master cylinders were also vacuum assisted....

And the way the rods are aligned and such match exactly what one would expect to see on a brake master cylinder's mounting....the center rod pushes into the master cylinder to provide the fluid movement (and isn't removable from the brake vacuum booster) and the other two threaded rods are the attachment points for the brake master cylinder and are, also, immobile and are not removable for the average person. And those two lines........odd that a clutch needs two fluid lines....would have thought it'd only need one fluid feed line.

Perhaps you have inadvertantly disconnected your braking system's master cylinder and not your clutch...

I really hope you are joking..............

if not call a tow truck and have it taken to a mechanic as you are not anywhere near qualified to do this.

In picture #1, it shows you did pull your brake master cylinder, not your clutch master.
the brake master has two lines coming out of it, but the clutch master only has one.
the clutch master cylinder is barely visible in the right side of that picture.

Let a pro do it before you botch it up and wind up killing someone.

That's exactly what I thought, and I see someone else agreed with my previous assessment...

So much for trying to do your own repairs without a clue.

Pulled out his brake master cylinder and thought it was the clutch master........and then tried to beat the brake actuating rod off with a hammer. Just too rich!!!!

A 3 second search on google for 'Clutch master cylinder' would have saved you this embarrassment

And I'll bet on two other things outside his embarrassment here.....that he never resurfaces in this thread, and that he's still wondering why his brakes are no longer working.

Come on guys, give him a break. Now he DOES need our help. OP, what was the problem that you had originally? Why did you pull the master cylinder from the brake vacuum booster?

You guys are mean. No need for all the ridicule.

And yeah the clutch master cylinder, or at least the fluid reservoir and cap, is visible in the bottom right corner of pic 1.

Put it all back together and bleed the brakes before you do anything else, and make sure the brakes work by back it out slowly and stomping on them, and be ready to use the handbrake for backup. Hopefully you didn't damage the vacuum diaphragm by beating on or pulling on that center linkage.

The fact that this forum is to talk about cars and ask for help and then ridicule those that come here as stupid for not knowing the answer merely proves the hypocrisy of mankind. Why the heck would he come here if he already knew how to do it? I take it that the users of this forum were born with a knowledge of the difference between a clutch and brake master cylinders? No, you LEARNED it. He did too in a not so helpful way. Some of you guys simply have no place being here.

well it was originally in Off Topic and we all know that place it is common to bash the OP.
