need help renaming files..

whats the fastest way renaming a bunch of pictures so that they come in series??

I want something like this: pic1, pic2, pic3, etc

ehh Its actually quite simple.. just shift, then rename... it will make a new series on its own..

In XP if you select the pics and then rename, it will name them all that name plus a (number) after it.

Or you can download a program named "The Rename" from download.com. It has a learning curve, but i love it.

in XP .. highlight all the pictures you want to change filenames .. HIT F2 and rename the title. so it will show as TITLE (01).jpg - TITLE (02).jpg and so on

actually it shows as title, title(1), title(2), etc
