Need help removing WinXP

I am running WinXP Home on my current machine. During instalation ofl Windows Media Center, I noticed that it seemed to want to install WinXP Professional. I chose to cancel the installation being that I was running WinXP Home. My machine was restarted and I was now given the option to run either WinXP Home or Pro. I didn't catch it in time and the default choice was Pro. I was confronted with the BSOD. I restarted again and chose WinXP Home which led to everything working as usual.

How can I remove the option at startup where I must choose Pro or Home?

Log on with an Administrator account. Right-click My Computer on your Start menu or your desktop, choose Properties, and the System panel will open up.

On the System panel, click the Advanced tab, and then click the Settings button in the Startup & Recovery area. Now you can choose your default operating system and stuff.
