Trying to remember the name of these race cars and track that I had when I was young. The cars where not remote controlled, but they

where battery power and the motors where customizable. These cars where very big at the time, because they had races on TV every

week or so. I think the hosts of the show where Jesse "The Body" Ventura and Mean Jean. Can someone please put my mind at ease

and if you have any of them let me know :) Thanks Tom

I'm thinking early 90's and the track had high sides and was made of heavy plastic and you turned the cars on and just let them go. No they where not slot cars.

I remember these. You had to build them yourselves and could interchange parts.

Slot cars.

I was BIG into them in the 60's back in Ind. then didn't see ANY track until I moved to Oregon and they "came back".

Found them again about 7-8 years ago.

Started running the "Normal" kind, and then ran into some guys that were doing "Scratch Built" cars.

You designed and built your own brass chassis and then used a regular model car body on it.

It was WAY fun for awhile, then I got "side tracked" by computers...........

(And YEAH I have a whole bunch of them, both new and vintage out in the garage.)

Does this ring any bells?
Or maybe this

i know exactly what you're talking about but i can't think of them either.. as i recall you can either run them with 2 AA's with a fake battery adapter or you can make them go faster by putting in 4AA's... and you can soup up the motor, tires, bumpers, etc... my friends and i used to just race them in the playground and run after them
