Does it matter which PCI slot I put my cards in? (Controller, Modem, Ethernet, Soundcard, and eventually the NewQ which requries a daughter card in a PCI slot.)

no not really, unless you have problems, then you might try moving them around.....except for the slot next to the agp slot....i think its reserved for a video card or something....dang cant remember, well, in general, stay away from that slot if possible
 
Right! In many mobos, PCI 1 shares the same IRQ with the AGP slot. It's best not to share in the video area.
