Need help reformatting my harddrive and installing Windows XP on my new upgrade

I ordered new parts for my PC (a big overhaul) and I need help on trying to access the screen where I can reformat my hard drive and make partitions:

My old parts:
Mobo: DFI LanpartyUT nF4 Ultra-D socket 939
RAM: 1024 MB of OCZ PC3200 DDR 184-Pin
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice Socket 939 2400MHz
Graphics Card: EVGA Geforce 7800GT

Here are the new parts:

Motherboard: ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
RAM: OCZ Platinum Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2P10004GK
Video Card: VisionTek 900244 Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz

Here's what happens:

I boot up the computer, ASUS splash screen tells me I can hit TAB to do BIOS POST, and Del to enter BIOS. I have the boot priority set to "Boot from CD" and I have a Windows XP disc.

After a while, a blue screen shows up and says "Windows Setup" in the corner. On the gray bar below it starts loading a bunch of drivers. WHen all that's done it says "Windows is Starting" and right then I get a BSOD. What I'm getting at is that I have the previous OS installation still on my harddrive, so it's trying to load that, but then how do I get to the blue screen where I can reformat my harddrive and choose to make partitions and the like?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Please disregard, I managed to solve the problem!

It was a setting in BIOS. I had Harddrives set as AHCI or something like that, instead of IDE. That caused the BSOD. All is well now.
