Need help reformatting my dv2035us!!!

I just bought a new laptop. Its HP dv2035us. I'm trying to reformat my computer but it won't let me. It has something to due with sata hard drive. I was wondering if anyone can help me out here.

you probably need the SATA drivers on a floppy disk so windows can access the drive to install. Get the drivers, then when you're booting up from the XP cd, hit F6 at the prompt for drivers.
