Need help recording what is being displayed.

I need to record what is being displayed. The system is a K7V @750 with an Asus V6800. The video card has S-video out but not concurrent with the monitor. I prefer a solution that does not put much more load on the system. I am committed to doing this so don't hold back just because the answer is expensive. TIA.
