I have a video file on my computer and I need to record it "real-time" while it is playing. There simply is no other way to record/copy it. I have tried programs like snag it to record the video off screen but everytime I try to play it back the video is blank. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nate

I have the ATI ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV. It is able to send a signal via cable w/video, sound and (red, yellow and white connetors, special buy), to my televison and two video recorders.

It has taken over 5 months, of trial and error to finally get everything to work.

I would think you will need a comparable video card for you system, and possibly upgrade your system to accomodate the video card, (ie enough hard disk space, memory and change apic).

Hope this helps. If you need additional info, contact me: jjjjayd13@jdickerson.com

The software that I use is MovieStudio.

If you have it on your machine, then there should be a way. What is the file format? There are lots of tools for many formats. A self-help can be found at Video Help. Check the utilities section.

If you need to record something from a desktop app, Camtasia Studio is probably the best answer.
