see like what do you mean? sorry lol did everything except this

Insert your USB/DVD, boot from it, and follow the pretty instructions displayed in the middle of your screen. In my experience, installing windows on intel boards is easier than AMD ones because windows usually has more built in drivers for intel.

Do you recall ever having a tricky driver or obscure installation for any of your old hardware that you plan to re-use? If so, you might want to backup that file, or your entire winSXS folder that has all your previous drivers.

But that's unlikely you'll need to do that, it's only when you have some weird hardware that won't be detected by windows automatically, and there is no driver available from the manufacturer.

But can you get an external USB hard drive? That's probably easiest for backing up your important stuff, where you just drag and drop it to the drive.

Another question is do you know where all your important stuff is, so you can find it and back it up? if not, then maybe use an automated backup that grabs everything for you, and then puts it on the external USB drive.

Profanity is not allowed in the tech forums. Since you are so new, this is a warning. One time only

so besides backing up **** the only thing i have to do is just put everything togther i dont need to do any driver things or anything just put the new board and cpu in

No profanity in the tech section BTW.

Why dont you give it your best shot first, then come back to us with any problems you have. We cannot help you solve an issue you have not yet had.

But for the most part, plug the pieces together, insert your windows installation media, and then let windows boot and find its own drivers. You will definitely need your GPU driver if its a discrete card, and its always a good idea to have your NIC driver handy in case windows doesnt auto-detect it.
