Need Help Random problems with my HTPC

So I have a HTPC and the past couple of days I have been having problems with it and I need help. I have been experiencing random system wide lockups and freezes and now restarts out of nowhere. I did not get any blue screens and I checked event viewer and no errors there. I have all of the latest Windows updates to date. I ran memtest86 all night and that came out with no errors. The temps seem to be within an acceptable range for an AMD Athlon 64 with the stock 939 cooler what else could be wrong with this computer?
I have not changed any hardware or software in the time it's been acting up
Thanks

I would try another power supply. I used to have a similar issue with my computer. I had an AIW x800 and when I would leave town for the weekend with a tv show scheduled to record my computer would be restarted and my show was not recorded when I got home. Turned out to be a power supply problem. When the tv tuner kicked in it would crash the system and make it reboot. What is the 12v rated on your psu?

it is possible that your psu is failing, 7-8 years is a pretty long time for any modern consumer pc hardware to run.

It was the power Supply,The Bottom fan is dead, plus I took it apart and some of the caps were leaking I guess it over heated without the 90MM bottom fan (it has 2 fans 80MM in the Back and a 90MM on the bottom) So I stuck in an Enlight PSU FSP model 300 Watts and all is well with this computer The "New" PSU is only a year old and was a pull from a customer build (Came with a case). Is 300 Watts enough? Or should I still order a new power supply. I even tried to record a TV show and play GTA San Andreas and the computer seems stable so can I calls this fixed? Thanks and I glad the power Supply did not fry the whole computer when it died as I heard that can happen

I would look up the specs on the tv tuner and the video card you are running and see what they recommend. I read in a forum somewhere that the x800 AIW needed at least 20 A. I don't like to run anything less than 24A. I just bought a Coolermaster 600 extreme for my matx case that has 18A x2 12v rails and the psu in the Apevia Q-Pack I run on my tv has a 400 watt psu with 14A and 16A 12 V rails. I got the Coolermaster 600 because it is short and fits into my Q-Pack case with a few inches to spare between it and my dvd drive. I picked up the psu up at Fry's for $30 after rebate.

Just make sure your 12V rail is over 20 (or more) on what ever psu you go with or you may end up in the same position in a few months.

The PSU I just put in there is a re badged Forton Source which I heard are good and on the label it says
DC OUTPUT
+ 5V +3.3V +12V -12V +5VSB
25A 25A 15A 0.8A 2A
180W max 180W 9.6W 10W
290W Max

300 Watt Rated
350 Watt Peak

Enlight Model GPS-300AB-100 V
P/N: 83014C1B1

Slightly OT of this thread How do I determine who made what PSU brand by the UL label?
