Well im in college for graphic design and its very important that i use my flash drive to take work from my laptop to my classes but all of a sudden my usb drives stopped working.

niether my flash drive, ipod connector, nor mouse work

I would suggest clearing the CMOS but don't know of a way to do that on a laptop. Often a simple USB failyer like that can be solved by clearing the CMOS. Maybe someone else knows how to do it to a laptop. Otherwise i'd suggest reinstalling the USB drivers.
