Ever since I installed a new PNY Ti4200 and a 3com nick I have been hearing a couple popping sounds that sound like they are coming from my PC. It sounds like when you push together a empty 2 liter bottle and then pop it back out with your hands. Or blow into the bottle making the sides pop out.

I am fairly sure its coming from my PC case. First time I heard it I first looked at my monitor but everything seemed ok. I have heard this twice so far but my system is remaining the same nothings locking up. What could be the noise? I've only heard it twice.

any ideas?

doesnt sound good.

I'd take of the side of your case and run it open, see if you can figure out whats making the sound

I just took my side panel off and felt the ramsinks on my PNY Ti4200 and man are they hot. I mean you can set there and hold them and it not burn you but they are alot warmer than any ramsinks I have felt. Is this normal on a Ti4200 not overclocked? One of the ram chips couldnt have popped could it?

ok this has to be coming through my speakers(Z560's) because it is just to loud to be coming from the case. I am using onboard sound with my Epox 8k3a+. Any ideas? I got a Audigy coming so maybe that will help some.

Try the latest chipset drivers and audio drivers. My computer does a similar thing when I try connecting using dial up. The newer drivers help, but I still get the problem in xp, it's worse in winme, but it doesn't do it in Linux.
