NEED HELP quick..laptop screen won't show

Hi,

I have a laptop and apparently the screen won't show but the computer still runs....anybody have an idea as to what is wrong?

It can be serveral things.

1. Someone hit the key combo to turn of LCD display (generally a ALT+Function (commonly F5 or F8) key)
2. The LCD panel it self went bad.

You can check both by plugging a monitor into the laptop and see if the display works.

thanks..fixed it ...apparently a wire was loose on the side and had to restart it.
