wrong forum. Take this to Technical support.

But I'll help you anyway. After all, we wolves need to stick together. ;)

First you should look at the screen with your face very close to the screen, with a very bright light on it. if you can make out detail, it means that the backlight of the LCD isn't on. Either it's broken or the switch controlling it is broken. There should be a switch inside of the hole where the latch(es) catch, holding the screen to the rest of the machine and holding it shut. Usually shutting a laptop will trigger this switch and turn off the backlight (if not the whole LCD). Try poking around in that hole with a paper clip or something. See if you can find the switch and trigger it. Mine got stuck one time, and all I had to do was press it and it was fixed.

If it's not the switch, then the backlight is broken. There are usually redundant backlights in LCDs, but all of yours could have broken. This will need to be repaired by a technician, but it could be expensive.

If the LCD isn't working at all (i.e. you couldn't see anything when you held the bright light to the screen) then there could be a cable loose, or any one of a number of things. It's actually fairly easy to disassemble most laptops. If you feel like you're up for it, you can try and see if you can locate the problem (if it is in fact a loose wire or something). If not, you'll need to take it to a shop.

Make sure and try the video-out port as well (hook it up to a regular monitor), to make sure that the video card is working. Ummm that's all that I can suggest from my limited experience with upgrading and repairing my own laptop.
