Okay, so all of a sudden, some time last week, my computer decided to freeze and reset whenever I tried playing a video file. avi, mpg, what have you. Now, the MP3's work, so it's not related to the audio drivers, (which I didn't think it would be anyway)....I'd tried installing the new Detonators, and then I tried rolling back, and then I tried reinstalling the 28.32's........and now I'm just f*cking frustrated.

Any ideas? All of the media players just freeze after i select which file to open. It's starting to piss me off, and i have some new videos I wanted to test. Thanks. :)

lol, actually, no new porn, mostly in-theater movies and car racing clips. I just want to watch something, ANYTHING, dammit!

Just a thought, but have you tried (re)installing the latest DirectX drivers from Microsoft?

haven't reinstalled Direct X.......guess I'll do that. As for virii, I scan pretty consistently, and just updated, and it covers my email, plus I use Tauscan and Zone Alarm, so hopefully it isn't anything like that. :)
