Need help putting HSF on!!!

I am trying to put my CoolerMaster EP5-6I11 HSF on my athlon. I have the Epox 8k7a mobo. How do I put it on? The clip that runs down the middle of it has something on it blocking it from reaching the clips. If I try to put it I would have to either bend the bar or crush the chip. Does anyone else have this HSF, or even know what I'm talking about? I need help quickly!

The bar always bends when you put on HSF's. Not sure of yoru exact HSF, but in general the bending as u put on give it the tension to stay on tight.

It won't crush my chip? Should I try to bend the bar then put it on the chip? I don't feel safe letting it bend itself.

I bend it down with the screwdriver, and can almost get it, but because the clip is now facing at an angle it won't let me. Should I bend the clip out a bit?

🙁 I can almost get it, but since I am already pushing down hard on it I don't want to push anymore. This sucks. 🙁 🙁 Should I push just a little harder, or is there danger in cracking the thing?

Finalyy got it. I've decided I hate HSF's.

I did make a mess w/my thermal compound, though.

This is my fisrt computer to build, so I will probly have some more questions.

Now that my 1.4 GHz Athlon is sucure I feel happy 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂!
