Need help putting an excel doc in a word file.

I have a lengthy word doc with a manual I've created. I've already added some excel docs in and they work fine, in portrait format. The last two pages, I need the excel doc in landscape format. When I try to do this, I use the page setup, select Landscape and then choose"from this point forward" which adds extra pages and "selected items only", but it still changes the page above it to landscape.

ARRGGHH!!
