Hey all,

I played on a Yamaha upright piano for several years, and I wanted to purchase a keyboard that could replicate the sound of an upright piano. I intend to practice for several hours a week, but am not sure where to start. There are several brands and a large price range.

There are lots of good sound samples available so any keyboard that can be used as a MIDI controller will do what you want. More important is a keyboard with a good piano feel to the keys. I have an Alesis QS8.1 with an action made by Fatar. It's heavy, but their piano action feels really good.
