Need help !!! Prank callers forgot to block number.

First time he called at 9:01AM yesterday, that time is when it started, I was sleeping so I answered the call and didn't hear anything after saying hello, about 5 times, then hung up and went back to sleep, then around 2:05 he/she called again and said nothing after about 5-6 times of me saying hello I hung up, but i could hear things in the background saying haha and stuff. Then the next call came about 2 mins later and thats the time when I started screaming and cursing and stuff. Then another call cam about 1 hr later, this time I was prepeared with sound clips jus to scare him away, but again he started saying some things like hello, thats it. And then the next time he called about 20 mins later and this time i couldn't do anything because my family was all around, so i then hung up right away. After that another call came 1min after that and I could hear him/her talking in the background w/someone, then I deciede to go out side and curse him off. And that was the last of it for that day. Today I just got a call about 20 mins agao, and I started playing some sound clips at first then I said I am going to get the number traced and file a report on it. Then hung up. After that I then got a phone call after he called my friend, saying some crap. Saying please don't file a report on me, I won't call you ever again. Then thats the last time I got a call. My friend said after I told her what had just happend, she had gotten a phone call this time w/the number not blocked, she answered said hello, the person then said oh sh!t i forgot to block the number at that time i have figured I will track this person. And now after all that nothing has happend so far. I know I will get another call from this person, I just don't know when. This person really has no life, and I think it is a prank call considering its anyoying the heck out of me and my friend. ...... is this enough information?

okay, the person also called your friend. So we can reasonably establish the fact that the person is, somehow, known to you. Did you and your friend sign up for something recently, is there a common friend or person, do you go to school with this friend, or work? what's the link is what you need to think of.

btw, no necessarily will they call back. it sounds like they are scared now. and, it doesn't sound like they are a threatening prank call, so personally i wouldn't cuss them out too much cuz it may be little kids or someone you know and will get it resolved soon. doesn't sound serious to me, although i understand your annonyance at it. its only been going on for 1 day. anyways, you have several options:

a) wait it out see if they call back, i.e. do nothing.
b) reflect on the link between your friend and you and decide who the potential suspects. short list them, then consider possible motivations (hatred, immatureness, stupidity, someone with no life, etc.). Then tell the person straight up you know its them.
c)Have a friend "accidentally" knock on their door, you will be hiding somewhere where you can see the person who opens the door, like in a car or something. then you'll remember if you know the person or not.
d) if you're the more aggressive type, drive down there and confront the person at the address
e) call the cops.

No, I don't go to school with my friend, nor work. I met her through my grilfriend. Its her friend, but me and her friend are now friends. And no we haven't singed up to anything. And if they do call again I will call the cops, until then....

Just relized that he couldn't have found my cell number anywhere, I forgot to mention that he's been calling my cell number which most people don't have.
