I was wondering if the ViewMax NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 4GB GDDR3 or the Sapphire Radeon R7 240 4GB DDR3 would be considered an upgrade? If not what would you all suggest? New to PC gaming and limited budget. Thanks!

Both are entry level cards and are much slower than the 660.

Honestly, you're looking at dropping ~$200 on a card to get anything beyond a side grade.

You might stick with the 660 until next gen arrives, and until you try your games and see if it's actually okay for them and your screen resolution. Try medium settings first. It's not a powerhouse card, but it's not junk either. I'm still rocking a 660 in one of my machines.

Try this Crysis 3 benchmark done today by a user at TPU ... sad truth of 660 -> 660Ti -> 670 -> 760 -> 960, not a lot has changed.

I'd wait for next gen GTX 750 Ti or GTX 950 equivalent. GTX 660 is fine for any modern game on lower settings until then.

What CPU do you have - are you sure you're not going to be CPU bottlenecked if you upgrade the GPU?
