So I decided I would update the BIOS on my Asus A7V133 today. Used aflash.exe to go from 1004 to 1009. Went through the process fine. Program even showed "BIOS flashed successfully" or something to that effect. I then shutdown the computer and when I booted back up, the video won't come on. The system powers up fine, no beep codes or blinking mobo light, just no video. I'm not sure if it POSTs or not, but it will not boot up to a floppy.

Is my BIOS fried? Is there anything I can do?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you clear the cmos afterwards? Since it said flash completed it should have flashed ok.

? sorry I'm not sure what this means

I tried to power down after the flash, but I think I let the power button go too quickly, and it powered right back up w/o shutting down completely.

It's ALIVE!

Thanks guys. Shorting the CMOS pads (no jumpers, just two pads - shorted with a penny) did the trick. She's back up and running. Really freaked the hell outta me. I've flashed BIOSes about 10 times before and this is the first time anything went wrong - thank Ford it was fixable ... err ... shortable.

Thanks again.
