Run task manager and see if the game is still running after you exit it.
Try restarting your system if you havent.

Oh, and welcome to Anandtech.
Stay the fuck out of P&N.

I've done that stuff....... TF2 is just not responding when that happens....and portal opens, I've tried ending Task with HL2. But it reopens when Portal opens.

Now, something strange happened, I forgot to mention that is not an Appcrash, is BEX, what does it mean? Then I let Portal sit there, and it gave me that D3D device Steam error, Got any Ideas?

Couple of things here:

A single core pentium 4 is outdated for tf2. To get the best performance out of tf2, your going to need at least a dual core system and at least 2 gigs of memory.

1 gig of memory is really outdated.

Scan for system for malware. Go to download.com, find, download, install, update, and do a full system scan with malware bytes.

Do you have an anti-virus installed and updated?

Have you ran your system through windows updates and made sure the system is up-to-date on its security patches?

What kind of anti-virus program do you have?

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=rb_content;main

Its the green button on the left side of the screen that says "download now" next to it.

All files at download.com have been tested to make sure they are virus free.

Malwarebytes is not an anti-virus program, it looks for malicious software.

I fixed it!Well and the help of other members. Is not so laggy, because i typed in
"mat_picmip 10-fullcl_updaterate 101screen -width 1024 -height 768 -refresh 60-dxlevel 80 +mat_antialias 0" (no quotes) on the set launch options. Now thats why is not so laggy. Thanks Bill Brasky, Texashicker, everyone else! :D
