I with my team are now working on new TD game. Therefore we would like to know what our potential customers are thinking about our ides. It would be nice
if you complete survey and maybe leave some comments and your own suggestion about new TD game.
Thanks ;)

- We are going to use articles, works and attract a team of specialists in physics, biology and pshycology to create interesting quests and for detailed game world design.

- Player's community may also participate in game creating by using a "craft tools" to make new levels, towers etc.

-Players will have get different various of everyday quests to maintain interest in game.

-Differents game modes, which allow to test all races, towers by using limitless resources (crystals, time etc.) are going to be created to maximize game experrience.

So, what do you think about our ideas?

I think it's not enough information to go on.

What is the setting, the enjoyment?

'Make new levels and towers' fits any TD game from good to bad.

For example, 'fallen earth' and 'rift' are both MMO's that have a lot in common, but one has magnitudes more players, is my impression.

The science is something that needs to be dealt with so it's either entertaining, or the game is educational genre.

Test all races, what does that mean? Sounds like SimMengele.

The game is about confrontation between three races: human races is trying to colonize gryphon's race territory ( where they lived for centuries), and mysterious Asura race, which is trying to conquest humans and gryphons. The using of science is going to help us make battles realistic (physics), biology is design of human'sand gryphon's bodies and how they interact with enviroment (taking damage, moving, perceiving poinsons etc).

We will add another race as one of the fighting sides in "battles mode" to look on customer's reaction on it. Maybe in the future, storyline will be linked with it as well.

Some advice I have, and that I have ran into issues in the past is, that even simple physics can be extraordinarily computationally intensive. Unless you can guarantee interactive object count as well interactions occurring between said objects is kept below a certian level per computational cycle using real physics beyond generating a table to pull values from is not recommended. The same also goes with what you are grouping with biological aspects as well. Don't forget that how enjoyable something is trumps how realistic it is as well.

Otherwise it is a crowded market and your group will need something to make it stand out. Also note that given the early state listing said things can cause them, if viewed as a beneficial idea, to be placed into a game before yours gets released rendering it either useless or less useful for attracting potential buyers.

I've played hundreds of different tower defense games.
The best ones are the following...
Dungeon Defenders
YouTD (Warcraft 3 mod)
Element TD (Warcraft 3 mod)
Gem TD (Warcraft 3 mod)

Dungeon Defenders managed to combine almost every gaming genre into one game. It was a fantastic blend of RPG and TD with RTS and FPS sprinkled in.

YouTD had so many different towers, and allowed you to level characters and soup up towers with item drops. It was super difficult.

Element TD was probably the most polished W3 tower defense IMO... You chose an element to start and built towers based on the gold you earned from waves. The towers could be upgraded and you could add in other elements as you went.

GemTD was a great TD too. You got 5 gems every round and you had to combine them to create stronger versions or special versions. You also used those gems to create a path for the mobs to navigate. It had enough randomness to keep things interesting, but required a lot of pathing skill and knowledge of the game.

If you're making a TD game then it has a lot of other games to compete with. Your game needs something new, or it needs to do something better than the games I mentioned (and a few others) Heck, I still fire up bloons tower defense every week or two and play a round. Give us something that those games do not.

I stopped as soon as I read "new TD game"

We don't need nor want another freakin TD game. That genre has been beaten to death for far too long as it is, and the hype is gone.

Thanks everybody for your opinion!!! It is very important for us. The result of this survey may lead us to decision change some of our ideas or even game genre.
