That's the best you can do for $1500? You need a much better HDD, 5400rpm just won't cut it for load times. Get a Samsung F3. You should also be able to get at least a 64gig SSD with your budget. Your PSU seems expensive as well. I'm sure you could get a good one for a bit less.

Sound cards are also all but dead. On-board sound has come a long way and most of the time you will not notice a difference. I'd put that money elsewhere.

Right now there's no reason to go with your processor setup over a sandybridge i5 2500k setup. Unless there's some reason you must have those I would go SB all day.

You can do much better for the money.

Don't spend $180 on Win7 Ultimate. Home Premium will do everything you need for $80.

I would suggest getting either 2 or 4 sticks of ram, not 3, if it's going to be used for gaming as Amd currently only has up to duel channel memory and using 3 sticks will lower it down to 1.

$230 for a 2.1 speaker set also seems like way to much, but that's just my opinion.

Also if spending that much for a new computer for gaming you should opt for a better gpu by shifting around the costs, there is most likely no need for a $160 case.

But yeah the general hardware section would be much more helpful with this.
Links to the parts are also helpful as well.

The case is actually one of the things I DO like.

1. Read the sticky thread on how to ask this question correctly
2. Read the many other gaming system threads to see the standard recommendations for $700 - $1,200 gaming systems

( Intel i5-2500K, Z68 motherboard, 2 x 4 GB RAM, Samsung Spinpoint 1 TB drive, AMD 6950 or nvidia GTX 560 ti, good 5xx-650 watt PSU. )

Thats all you need son

OP, please don't purchase that pile of parts. You can do much better overall for the money (even with monitors, OS, etc. included). Please update this thread with your answers to the questions in the sticky and let's get started!
