I think my Epoc 8k7a is dying. So i need to replace it. I am looking for any suggestions. But not looking to spend too much on it. Thanks

Current set is:
MoBo: EPOX 8K7A
VIDEO: ATI-AIW Radeon/Asus gf4 ti4200 128mb
Chip: AMD 1.2ghx T-Bird
Sound: Sound blaster Live! Value
LAN: 3com 905B-tx
HDs:Maxtor 120gb 7200rpm/Seagate 28gb 5200rpm
CDRW: Creative 12x10x40
RAM:Crucial 256mb 266 DDR x2

I would check into the epox 8rda or msi nforce2 board. Anything else would be outdated and slower. Newegg has some refurbished boards, but they are bare boards only, and don't come with a backplate. Abit will sell you a backplate, and maybe even give you some additional warranty beyond the 15 days these boards come with. The other alternative is to get a Fry's electronics combo deal if you live near one. I picked up an ecs board with xp2000 for only $69.95 at an anniversary sale recently. Their website is outpost.com.

I ordered the Biostar M7NCDP. It supports 200/266/333/400 FSB and PC3200/2700/2100/1600 DDR.

This board will let you use your existing 133/266 CPU and RAM, yet allow you to easily upgrade to 166/333 CPU and RAM later.

That's exactly what I'm doing.
