Hi, I'm building a new computer that will have an Intel Core i7-6700, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, and a Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD.

I will not be overclocking at all and I will only be using 1 video card.

The Realtek ALC1150 audio chipset is a must.

And it would be preferable to have the Intel Gigabit LAN chip (not the Qualcomm or Atheros or anything else).

I prefer the ATX form factor since it's what I know and it seems still to be the most popular. I guess I would consider something different like ITX but I know nothing about it.

I've read a ton of reviews, but when it comes time to jump on newegg I get lost. I really could use some recommendations. Thanks!

look at the rig in my sig for what you want :)

Granted it is the upper-mid tier, but has all the features you want and a few more too.

Of course if you wanna save a few $$ you could go with the 5 or 3 series of the same board I have, and get most but not all of the features......

If he won't overclock, perhaps he would be better fitted with a H170 chipset.
either these 2: http://pcpartpicker.com/products/co...170performancehyper,asus-motherboard-h170pro/

Also if you still didn't buy the graphics card, I would advise you against buying a 970, get the RX480 which was just announced.
