With the new price cuts, I've finally decided to go for a q6600. I'm going to try an overclock to 3.0GHz. Want to buy everything from newegg and I've narrowed it down to the ASUS P5N32-E or the Intel BOXD975XBX2KR.

I'm leaning towards the ASUS w/ the nvidia 680i, though SLI is NOT important to me. I'm more interested in overclocking stability and better RAID support. Will the intel let me run the FSB at 1333MHz?

Any other suggestions? Looking to spend about $200 - $250 on the motherboard.

My needs are almost identical to yours. I went with the BOXD975XBX2KR. I've had it installed only a day but it's built like a tank, stable as can be and currently running at a fsb of 1540, with an e6600 at 3460. I have the matrix raid running 4x500 raid 5 though I have yet to test the throughput.

I love this board so far.
