Need help picking laptop

I'd like it to be less than $1700, have a decent video processor, and a decent less than 15 inch screen, lightish/portable, powerful, optical drive, a good amount of RAM. If possible, I'd like it to have good battery life and not extremely hot.

What models am I looking at? I'll be looking at dual-cores or pentium m's right? I haven't payed attention to the laptop scene in a while

Thanks

meh, it's a pretty basic laptop if you ask me. It's not a bad price, but there's better machines out there.
