Thanks in advance for your response. Building a system Gigabyte P965-DS3, E4300, and DDR2 - 667. I will OC up to around 3 GHz / / Don't play games - just need to be able to pug in 2 monitors @ 1280X1024 . . . which I beleive most cards will do these days. I am trying to avoid overkill - So any PCIeX16 card with 2 heads will do just fine. What do you recommend????

Also I forgot to mention . . . that I will be using a second card most likely PCI for a third monitor - hope that doesn'r complicate things . . .

perhaps about a RADEON 1900GT, they may be a bit overkill but they aren't that expensive. besides if you want to pick a game up sometime, you'd be able to run it.

Cheapest dual DVI card I found at newegg.com. It won't win any races though.

Compromise between performance and price. Still kind of a low ball though.

Probably Overkill for your needs, but it should do anything you need it too. It also have VIVO for other than gaming purposes.

In conclusion I don't know much about low to mid grade cards, so I'd wait till someone tears my suggestions apart before deciding.

Gigabyte 7600GS Silent $104

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125028

I have one of these in one computer and the 7600GT Silent in the other. Video card fans are notoriously loud compared to other components. These are decently priced and dead silent. The temps aren't too bad. They seem to be about 5C higher than those that come with fans under normal loads (browsing, word).

I just bought the nVidia 6200 for $30 (AR) from Newegg. That will easily (easily!) do as you ask. There's no need to spend more if you don't game.

Thanks guys . . . I think I am going to go with dclive advise . . . . . unless it will affect cpu performance with my combination of components - Please tell me going with a cheap video card won't hamper cpu processing in general - ie won't become the bottleneck in the total processing. But thanks to all of you for your input. . ..

I would agree with this plenty performance and quiet. I have another computer that uses the gigabyte 7300 Gt it is also a pasive card that works well for non gaming uses here currently Out of stock at the egg . I have seen this on sale at local retailers at good prices as well.
