Anyone know anything about vacuums?

The only requirement is that it is very dust free - as in hepa filter clean so that i don't get any dust in my allergy free room.

Size doesn't matter at all - in fact the smaller the better - it's really only going to be used in my bedroom.

Is a bag system or bagless better for keeping dust from excaping?

It seems like all the ones with the HEPA features are insanely big and I'm just looking for a small vac.

Funny this topic came up. Just got some sort of coupon for a Oreck vacuum for only 150 dollars. Original price is 300. Apparently, it's used in 1 million hotel rooms everyday according to the ad. ;) I need a new vacuum too, the Eureka I have doesn't pick up anything.

I bought a Hoover WindTunnel a couple of years ago.
Whoever invented bagless vacuums must DIAF. Sure, it's probably nice looking at all this shiat in the plastic container while you vacuum.
But when you need to take the dirt out... Better put on a gas mask or smth.

Plus, you need to shell out $30 for a regular filter and some more $ for a HEPA filter.
Ugh. I'd rather stick with bags. Unfortunately, not many companies make vacuums with bags any more.

The dyson drops the crap out from the bottom, using a button at the top. Put container into trash can, hit button, remove. That easy. :) Dyson's are expensive, but they really do suck ;)

I spent $5 and subscribed to consumer reports.

The Hoover WindTunner scored #1.

The expansive as hell Dyson scored #13!!!

The $135 Eureka Boss Smart Vac Ultra 4870 scored 2nd and was rated a Best Buy - I think I'll be getting this one tomorrow.
