I had been using a 775-DDR2 board for the past 2+ years, but my dear P5Q Deluxe just died and it is time to upgrade.

I've decided to get a 2500k, but I am kinda lost about what board to choose from. Should i go with a P67 or with a Z68?

I'm not planning on doing any hardcore overclocking so I do not need fancy $300+ boards, I just need something solid and that allows me to do some decent overclock. I would like to have SLI/Crossfire. Looking to spend around $200.

What would you recommend?

Plenty of boards in the $120-$150 range will suffice. I'd recommend the biostar xle or asrock extreme 4 based on what I've read. The msi gd55 is also not bad but be aware the msi boards have virtually no indicators if things don't work (the asrock and biostar have an led that will help locate the issue). I personally own the msi gd65 and have had no issues (availability drove me to buy that board and micro-center discount put it at a price point similar to the above boards). However a lot of folks have issues with the msi 65 and I have to say the user forum for msi is not very friendly (well the mods); but msi has been responsive to email inquiries so a plus there.

All the above boards are P67; i've not looked into z68.

I just picked up an AsRock Z68 Extreme4 a few days ago, and I have to say i'm very impressed by it.

Its fast, overclocks well, is stable, and has a very nice set of features.
