Need some help with a new monitor. Im coming from a 8 years old Samsung 1080 https://us.hardware.info/product/98948/samsung-syncmaster-ex2220/specifications

Im in the middle of buying parts for brand new build and unfortunately im having a hard time picking a monitor. Ive done a lot of looking around and the last time I even researched a monitor, until now, was 8 years ago... so im a little lost. Here is a small list of requirements I feel like I would be happy with but then again Ive never used one...

1) 1440 with 144hz
2) 27 in min size is preferable
3) $650 is the max i think i would want to spend
Ill be running a RTX2070 GPU and would like a recommendation on a VESA mount as well.

EDIT: Used mostly for gaming

Im currently looking at the ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR 27"

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!
Thank you

I already done the research on 32” models and decided upon a 40” 4K NU7100. I had been using a Dell 4K 27” PC monitor.

The 27” size is now the sweet spot! Looks like you are after a gaming monitor with the 144hz refresh speed. There are a lot to choices out there now since PC gaming is huge at the moment. I start with Rting website reviews and they have a YouTube channel too.

Looks like their top pick for gaming is the ASUS PG278QR I keep coming back to that monitor so it is defiantly is a front runner. Any suggestions on a mount? I may keep one of my old 22" monitors for a second or may even buy a cheap 27" to have a dual set up...
