I have been using 2X22 inch monitors (crappy ones) at 1680X1050 for the past 2 years.

One of the main issues (other than the crappyness) with using 2 monitors side by side is that the ends are hard to see and my neck is always tilted at least a little bit and i never get the full experience while playing a game since i have to look at it "from the side".

Anyway, to stop boring you I decided to get a large monitor in the center and place these 2 on the sides (the side monitors will be on a tilt) to go along with the new rig I just got.

My price range is up to about 700 dollars

I mainly Game/Photoshop/Browse... very generic stuff.

Here is a link to the thread with my components

Questions:

1. Any recommendations for monitors to look at in the 400-700 dollar price range?

2. I was not planning to do SLI before this and my order has already shipped :) Is my mobo capable of supporting SLI? If not can I just get some type of generic card simply to hook up the third monitor for use in windows? since I will need another card to run 3 monitors anyway (right?)

3. Will this vid card be good enough to run 1920 resolution for most games with no issues with this rig?

Thanks for your help

The video card will be fine for 1920x1200 resolutions. It can only support two displays, so you won't be able to run all three monitors unless you get a second video card (or get one of those Matrox devices).

1920x1200 is the typical resolution up to 28" monitor size. Next up is 30" which is 2560x1600 resolution. At that point you would want a second GTX 260 to help push the pixels. Unfortunately those are the "typical" resolutions and monitor sizes.

If you will just be gaming on the middle monitor, then perhaps you can get a cheap video card to drive the other two monitors and have the single GTX 260 drive the middle monitor? I think the 9500 GT is the lowest end NVIDIA card that has dual DVI outputs. Your board has extra PCIe slots so that shouldn't be a problem.

Zap would you recommend any 26 -28 inch monitors? I don't mind buying another card but i would assume a 30 inch would be like 1500 dollars lol... I can maybe go up to 900 max for the monitor

Ok so I think i have narrowed my options down to the Samsung 305t and the Dell 3007WFP-HC I am leaning towards the Dell right now. Do you guys think 2XGTX260 OCs in SLI would be enough to run 2560 res?

Any advice?

depends on the game. 2560 is almost twice the pixel area of 1920(about 4.1m to 2.3m), and a single gtx260 could struggle with that res in some games.
