Need help picking a laptop.

My dad wants to get my mom a laptop for christmas for the trips they take. It doesn't have to be state of the art but it needs to be light and good for digital pictures, any advice?
 
I am totally going to say ibook 12in or 14in in you price range and very nice.

or if you want to get it pretty close lol powerbook 12'' that is what i would probably go with.
