Need help picking a heatsink

Trying to decide between a Ninja, XP-90, and SI-120 to go on a MSI Neo4 Platinum...I plan to overclock, so I also need fan choices for all of these (Probably a Panaflo Low or Medium, but other suggestions are welcome).

I'd get the Ninja, but the weight and torque definitley concern me since the system will be standing vertically 24/7...if anyone can comfort me on these points, then that would be great 😛

According to Thermalright's list, the XP-90 might require me to bend some capacitors out of the way, but that's something I'd rather avoid (has anyone instaledl an XP-90 on this board?)

What about the Freezer 64 Pro? How does it compare to these others?

The problem with the SI-120 is cost - it comes in at a good bit more than the other ones listed here...once I get in this price range, what about the Big Typhoon or other options?

Don't worry bout weight of the HS,, i have a Thermaltake Tower112 24idle 37-38 load.. and the thing weighs as much as 2 laptop batteries.

don't get any of them, get the Zalman CNPS9500, cools my X2 3800+ 2.6Ghz at 28C Idle and 43C Load.

They all perform within a few degrees of each other, so just go with whichever one is the cheapest.

You sorta left out what youre planning to do and with what CPU. It sorta makes a difference. Personaly, I use a cheap XP-90. Works really nice for me, but then again, I also dont run a opteron or such cpu at 3ghz or more. So it sorta depends what youre doing.

Well, I plan on a decent overclock, probably 2.4-2.5 GHz at a minimum, but I don't want to go nuts with watercooling or something...

My current plan is to get an XP-90 with a medium flow Panaflo, with 2 120mm low flow Panaflos (L1A) for case ventilation. How does this sound?

Thats about my setup. I run a 3000+ venice at 2.5ghz. XP-90 is plenty. If youre going over 2.5ghz, like towards the 3ghz mark, might want a different heatsink. SI-120 or Ninja or Typhoon maybe.

Isnt the XP-120 better than the SI-120?

If I plan to have my 3000 venice at around 2.7 do you think I will need something more than a XP-90 with a tornado or panaflo?

Or do you think that I should get a Ninja or Arctic Freezer 64 Pro.

From what I've read, the XP90 is a fine cooler - these other options would not be enough of an improvement to warrant replacing it if you already have one.

I dont have any yet thats why i was wondering. The ninja is only a little bit more than the XP-90. And the SI-120/XP-120 are only a little more than the ninja.

I know that XP-90 is great but for 5$ if something else is better I am willing to buy it. Thats why I was wondering. What do you guys think?
