I'll be ordering parts for my workstation in two weeks, Ive got the general idea of what all the components are going to be except for the case, powersupply and cooling setup.

Its going to be dual 3.0Ghz Xeons with 4 15k SCSI drives, and eventually a Quadro FX. And obviously there wont be any overclocking.

Now I need a case and cooling setup that will make this system as silent as possible. I know the hard drives will be noisy when spinning, so like I said silent as possible.

The case needs to be able to fit extended ATX motherboards. And I prefer black, no windows or lighting mods please.

So any recommendations for a case and cooling setup. What kind of cooling do the 15K SCSI drives need? And what wattage of powersupply do I need?

for a case id say just about any YY cube would do great for you right off bat since they fit rather large boards, as does a lian li PC-75b (no windows version is PC-71b i thik) or the large ones...forget the names tho.
for silence...paxmate works really great...im not kidding.
as for cooling some panaflo fans are about the best. if you want quiet but performance get yoruself some nice panaflo M1A series fans quiet yet pretty powerfull. for CPU cooling if you can fit them (im not familiar with dualie P4 boards) but the swiftech MCX4000 with a 50cfm sunnon will do great and not be too loud.....you can of course use a panaflo 80mm M1A and be quieter...other than that can you fit a thermalrite SLK anything on that board? if so try those too....hell zalman makes damn fine silent or near silent coolers !
for the SCSI's i cant say since i dont use em...personally id rather have a large IDE or SATA array..cheaper LOL
BUT your power uspply get an antec true power 550 or a true control 550, enermax 600 or 650w unit...you cant miss it its gold anodized aluminum, or the king of power supplies a PC Power And Cooling...the best but not cheap.
but with those high RPM drives and everything else id get a large PSU or hell a redundant would work too.
