I am putting together a computer for my sister. I have been trying to keep the cost down so i purchased an AMD Athlon XP 1700+, 256MB pc2100 ddr, and a Stratitec MB. After screwing with the cheap MB for a month I finally sent it back for a refund. I wanted to purchase the Abit NV7M 420 but it seems no one is selling it. Why? I need a quality MB with LAN, Audio, and video integrated (with agp slot for future upgrades). any suggestions?

MSI K7N420PRO

For a 420 board, this would be a good choice. Only problem is that it's more expensive at $128 + $8 Shipping at Newegg.:| It's still a good deal for what you get, though. Just not nearly as good as that Googlegear deal you missed. That's life, I guess.

I've never used it myself, but I know someone at work has it and hasn't had any problems. Try searching the web for reviews. As for the Abit board: I think they probably stopped or slowed down production due to low demand for the 420 boards. That's just a guess on my part, however.
